Why I write it
The idea for this newsletter was born out of a book I read early in 2022 called Show Your Work by Austin Kleon. In the book, he argues that we ought to be more proactive about showing the process of our work instead of being so caught up on only showing our finished products. This newsletter is my attempt to give you updates about my process and a place for me to share what I am working on and thinking about.
What’s inside
My goal is to write something every week, with topics divided into four sections:
- The Book Nook — a few thoughts from something I’ve read recently
- The Professor Is In — a story about something I’ve been doing recently in my life as a professor
- Still Life — a recent photo
- Leisure Line — something I’m doing for fun lately
